Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO)

Dr. Saffer has 15 years of experience in cell and molecular biology research and nine years of experience in technology transfer. Prior to joining TEDCO in December 2001, Dr. Saffer was a Licensing Specialist in the Office of Business Development at the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute.  At TEDCO she is responsible for overseeing the University Technology Development Fund and the TechStart Program. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the MIT Enterprise Forum, DC Baltimore, the Greater Baltimore Committee for Bioscience, the Women in Bio program committee, and the MDBio BioBreakfast planning committee.

Dr. Saffer has a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Virginia, a MS in Biology from Northwestern University, and a BS in Biology from the University of Rochester.
