The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is one of the world’s premiere scientific research organizations. GROWING GREEN: The Second Green Revolution will solidify ARS’ role in addressing global issues concerning biofuel, bioproducts, and sustainability.
GROWING GREEN is unlike any other technology showcase, as it will feature technologies and projects by teams of ARS researchers brought together to provide solutions to important environmental and energy problems.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? The morning will involve three panel discussions on biofuel, bioproduct, and sustainable agriculture research capacity in ARS throughout the country. Presenters will be research leaders of laboratories conducting the research.
The afternoon will consist of breakout groups discussing emerging research issues and needs in areas of biofuel, bioproduct, and sustainable agriculture development and commercialization.
During a keynote luncheon, ARS national program leaders will discuss the national research priorities in biofuel, bioproducts, and sustainable agriculture research.
Throughout the day, posters and demonstrations of successful ARS research and technologies related to the green industries will be presented.
The final session will discuss how ARS can be positioned to solve the emerging research issues brought up in the break out sessions.
Closing the day will be a special Networking Reception on the exhibit floor for attendees and specially invited guests.
